Families in Rome had a strong organization. The rol is specific and absolute in each member in the family. For example, the father had all the authority in the family due to he controlled the personal property of the children and his wife. In adition, the father could mistread, sell or even kill his children if they not obey him. Besides, the father could decide where a child would live or die.
On the other hand, the children in Rome are property of their fathers, every in their lives are controlled for their "clan" like their names, for example, their first name was a personal name, the second name was of their clan, and the third name was the family name. The education of children was completely in the hands of their parents too. Is the same such as the boys as the girls. When the father die, the oldest son must take the role of the head of the family. Any adult son couldn't enter into any form of contract without agreement of his father. In adition, it would have been impossible for any young man to follow a political career, if he was still under his father's authority.

When the girls was around thirteen years old is the perfect time to get married, and her parents always decide her couple. However, women had few rights in marriage. She couldn't to take part in political process. In fact, women such as queens could get a few power position but the Romans did not look it favorably.
